New Raptor Performance Ballistic Alloy, the first non-lead Alloy Airgun Ammunition that increases velocity up to 25% over lead, while maintaining “match grade” accuracy. Specifically designed as a hunting load, the new P.B.A.™ enables airguns which normally shoot 1000 f.p.s. to shoot up to 1200 f.p.s., with tremendous penetration. In fact, the ammunition is 50% harder than lead causing penetration to be enhanced by up to 100% in tests in actual hunting situations as well as ballistic mediums. Raptor P.B.A. test results show ballistic stability at super-sonic speeds and up to 90% weight retention using the new semi-pointed design. Comes in a 100 count .177cal rocket package.

Well worth the extra cost!!!!

Over several years I have used virtually every brand,configuration,and most weights of LEAD .177 pellets,trying to find a less expensive pellet that performs like these "gold" Gamos. A few were as accurate,but NONE duplicated the Gamo alloys(non lead) for the velocity boost(yes, I used a chrono), or the impact damage on rodents(rats). I used the same 4X scoped rifle. In a fit of anger I killed an adult raccoon(2 head shots) that had been crapping all over my lakeside lot for days! The first shot seemed to stun it, so a second to the head ended his crime spree. Since the raccoon I still use my lead for plinking, but when it's "rat time" I ONLY use the gold Gamos. I just wish I could buy them,at a discount,in bulk. Every claim by Gamo proved true...a real rarity these days!!! Another plus: the shiny "gold" plating makes them easy to spot if you drop any,even in grass.Try finding lead ones in grass!

Better than the regular pellets

If you need more power ,accuracy,and distance these will give it to you.I have taken down critters at a distance that none of the other pellets could get to.They do seem to work as advertised. More stopping power at closer distances as well.
