ROTARY BOLT
Four massive lugs provide support, strength and solid lockup in the receiver of the lightning-fast Super X® Pump. Under recoil the mass of your body begins to slow the rearward travel of the shotgun, while the inertia of the bolt, slide and forearm continue cycling the action to help you get a head start on your next shot. Extensive research and testing has proven that when it comes to back-boring, .742" is the ideal 12 gauge interior barrel diameter, ensuring tight, consistent patterns. Any larger and gases blow by the shot cup and reduce pellet velocity. Too small and the pellets are deformed as they pass through the forcing cone, causing poor ballistic performance.

Best Shotgun - entry level
Bought the gun from impact and just took it to the range for traps today. I wanted a trap/skeet gun with interchangeable barrel for home def and this is a nice combo. There are a lot of comparison/review/arguments between the popular Remington 817 and Mossberg 500. My friends and I have them and shot them all. Majority prefer the Win SXP, the pump is smooth due to its rotary bold, the recoil is also the least of them all, which might have something to do with both the pad and the rotary mechanism. Rem 870 also come close, but the recoil is stronger. Mossberg 500 is just not on the same level, so except the guy who has the Mossy, none of us liked it. Taking apart this gun and cleaning was also pretty easy, unscrew cap, take out the barrel, push the ping out and other parts can be slide out easily. I was thinking about getting a Rem 870 cus it's made in the U.S. and this Win SXP is made in Turkey. But I am glad I got this, cus judging from the shooting, this is probably the best entry level shotgun.

Great for both home defense and hunting Cons: Last shells take some effort to load Full Review: I was hesitant about buying this gun, as I had never actually handled or even seen it before. Based on all the reviews for the SXP line, I went ahead and bought it. I've taken it apart, cleaned it, put it back together, and fired it. Taking it apart was a snap, cleaning was no problem, rebuilding didn't take long, and firing it was a dream. So long as you hold the shotgun correctly, your shoulder won't hurt as though you were firing a lesser shotgun. The barrels take all of 10 seconds to replace, and after removing the factory grease and shining it up, this thing is an absolute beauty. The only qualm I have with this is how hard you have to push to load the last 2 shells into the mag. This may be default with all shotguns and/or I may be weak. Even with this con, I would buy another in a heart beat. My Verdict: Buy this if you want a good shotgun. A great shotgun overall.
