Umarex Hammer 50 cal Airgun
Posted by Jordan on Mar 6th 2019
New for 2019, Umarex USA has announced the most powerful production airgun on the planet: The Umarex Hammer. The Hammer is an American-made, .50 caliber airgun that packs a serious punch.
The rifle feeds from a two round, linear magazine, and is capable of delivering a 550 grain slug at 760 fps, generating 705 ft-lbs of energy at the muzzle. The 24 cubic inch, carbon fiber tank holds 4500 psi of compressed air and gives you three full power shots.
Unlike a traditional firearm, the Hammer doesn't generate a comparable report or recoil signature. A shooter in a hunting situation will not need to wear hearing protection when shooting the rifle. The recoil is also much less sharp than the kick of a traditional hunting rifle. The Hammer is in a class all by itself, and would make a very capable hunting rifle option.
