Description

The Marilyn Holster

The Marilyn is a molded plastic holster that is worn on the band of the bra in a position similar to a shoulder holster. It is made to specifically fit each firearm so that it holds the gun securely and immobilizes the slide and trigger.
To wear the Marilyn, it is best to begin by placing your pistol in the holster. Then, tuck the gun and holster inside the side band of your bra. Position the grip of the gun as far forward as possible without causing it to poke up and be visible. This part is really more of an art than a science. Bringing it closer to the front makes it more accessible, but depending on the amount of padding in the bra and the wearer's build and choices of clothing, it may be necessary to slide it back under the arm to keep it from showing.
When you feel like the positioning is perfect, slide the hook onto the curved underarm/cup portion of the bra and snap the anchor strap around the side band of the bra. Both the hook and the anchor strap will attatch to the bra between where the shoulder strap attatches in the front and back.
The Marilyn comes with a second anchor strap to accomodate different bra band widths. If the original strap doesn't fit your bra correctly, simply undo the scres holding the snap and strap in place (be careful not to lose any of the pieces!) and move the strap to a different hole, or replace it with a different size strap.
To draw your firearm, reach down the neck of your dress/shirt/blouse and grasp the grip of the gun. While keeping your finger off the trigger, pull firmly on the grip and bring the gun out to a usable position. The use of a holster mounted in this position poses the same safety concerns while drawing as a shoulder holster does. Draw technique is VERY important! Author and women's concealed carry guru, Kathy Jackson, does a fantastic job of explaining a safe draw technique on her website. Go to this link for more information.
