Unique among rimfire rifles, the 77/17M2 incorporates Ruger's patented detachable rotary magazine, plus the three-position safety of the full size M77 Mark II rifles. Elegant, innovative and moderately priced, this design has brought a new kind of quality and technical excellence to small-game hunting and target shooting. Blue finish with American Walnut stock. Ruger 77/17 rotary magazine bolt action rifles are chambered for the exciting new .17 caliber cartridge-the .17 Mach 2. These .17 caliber Rimfire cartridges are high-velocity performers that are the answer to a varmint hunter's prayers. The .17 Mach 2 achieves a muzzle velocity of 2000 feet per second, more than 50% faster than the .22 Long Rifle cartridge. This ultimately means a flatter trajectory and superior accuracy for the target range and for small-game hunting alike. Ruger 77/17 rifles incorporate Ruger patented detachable rotary magazines (10 rounds in .17 Mach 2) and the patented Ruger scope mounting system with integral scope bases and medium-height rings at no extra cost.

77/22 22 hornet Ruger
I have had my ruger for about 5 years. The bigest draw back is for a small cal. it is exspensive to shoot. Deadly on and once again it is a Ruger!! I would like to invest in a 22 250 next to get out farther and have more knock down power.
