| The quality of a product is the result of a chain of events implemented over a long perod of time. New product development lasts for several years before a cartridge can be introduced to the market, but quality assurance and product improvements take place daily. When raw materials for component and cartridge production arrive at Norma, several laboratory tests are carried out before the material can be released for production use. Norma, being one of the few ammunition producers in the world to supply civilian products only, has unsurpassed quality as its foremost goal — an ambition shared by all employees. To reach this goal, each round and every component is tested numerous times before being finally packed in boxes. Cases and bullets are checked in special gauging machines and are inspected visually by trained eyes. The loading machines are random sampled for test firing where accuracy, pressure, velocity and function are checked. In all, the round goes through more than 30 control stations before it reaches the hunter. |
