"The rifle and round were developed by members of 5th SOG and there are rifles overseas. It was developed outside of normal channels...The ammo from Remington has not been delivered yet...Members of 5th SOG have developed the round and the weapons system. There seems to be a great deal of mystery surrounding this firearm and its round. Barrett is moving forward with production and hopes to have approval from DoD, for issue to troops.
