HK HK45 Tactical V1 Flat Dark Earth .45 ACP Threaded Barrel

In a World of Compromise, Some Don't. The Heckler & Koch HK45 is based on the firm’s USP pistol and was originally designed to meet requirements of the U.S. Military Joint Combat Pistol program. The most obvious change from the USP is the use of a more ergonomic polymer grip with interchangeable backstraps. The HK45 grip was also slimmed down by using a 10-round magazine rather than the USP’s 12-rounder. The HK45 is outfitted with Heckler & Koch's outstanding cold hammer forged polygonal rifled barrel which increase muzzle velocity and barrel life. The slide of the HK45 is machined from one solid billet of steel and metal parts wear H&Ks proprietary “Hostile Environment” finish. This is essentially a black oxide coating that is resistant to just about everything. Another important feature on the HK45 is a patented recoil system that uses a plastic buffers as part of the guide rod spring.

The slide reciprocates on four steel inserts in the fiber-reinforced polymer frame. The frame and grip on HK45's fiber re-enforced polymer make it one of the best looking guns on the market today. From the checkering on the front strap, to its ergonomic grip geometry, the HK45's unique frame design was engineered to fit the shooters hand like a glove. This is accomplished through HK's revolutionary interchangeable grip panels. The HK45’s magazines are very well made and sport a black finished steel body. Unlike many double stack magazines, the HK45 is fairly easy to load. The magazine release is a paddle at the base of the trigger guard that is pushed down and can be operated from either the port or starboard sides. HK was the first to develop a magazine release that is part of the trigger guard and the HK45’s paddle-style release allows the magazine to easily drop free. The HK45 also has a flair in the magazine well that greatly enhances the reloading process.
