  • Great AR

We have had this ORACLE for a couple years now and the whole family likes it because everyone can hit what their shooting at with it. And that's the basic principal of family plinking. I put a nikon p223 scope on it and the wife and 14 yr old son can hit clay pigeons sitting on the hill at 100 yards a good 7 or 8 out of 10 shots. A clay pigeon measures 4.25" so to be able to put a bullet within 4" at 100 yards ! What else can you ask for ? Oh reliability. Yes it's there, it functions & cycles "no FTF/FTE" we like this dpms so much that we just got a RECON but I'm not quick to give a review, I will give one in due time after I have it broken in.

  • Solid, reliable, affordable rifle

I've had the DPMS oracle for over 2 years now. Paid just above $600. Never once had a single issue after thousands of rounds of .223 and 5.56. I will run steel case Tulamo, cheap brass and high quality ammo without question. It chews it up and spits tight groups consistently. A bit of oil and a scrub down the barrel is all it takes every few hundred rounds for me to keep it happy.

I have read a ton of crappy reviews online only to have found none of them to be true. I'm sure because of it's low price entry point it attracts the kinds of shooters who are new to guns or are cheap bastards and less adept to using, cleaning and maintaining it properly. I use it to hunt coyotes, target shooting and for home defense and have no question that when I pull the trigger it will fire until the magazine is empty. I shoot it a few times a week so it most certainly does not sit in a cabinet for the occasional range trip (I don't go to a range, I shoot from my portch). I would buy a few more, but whats the point? this one will last me for a very long time and I can only shoot one at a time. And as a plus there are tons of upgrades and accessories.

  • Excellent Starter Rifle

Great AR to build up and costumize with out breaking bank. Ideal for shooting hoobiest on a budget. After a year and a half no failures to feed or eject. Added MOE stock is an improvement over Pardus stock. Aluminum quad rail, Houge grip, Nikkon P-223 CQB scope, 45 offset mini red dot, extended trigger guard, fore grip and tacticle light. All under $1,200 when finished. DPMS makes alot of parts used in other brands. While everything isn't Mil-spec, what isn't you can upgrade for a true custom rifle that exceeds.
