So far so good
Well I pick this up on a whim for some thing fun to shoot, but the more I shot it the more I liked it I have had glocks since I was 21 and never thought I would prefer to carry this over them. All I have done to is is put a houge wrap around grip, and a kimber ambi saftey "left handed" it feels great and the thing runs I do not baby it by any means I drop my mags in the dirt pick them up fill them up and run it again it has yet to jam on me "have yet to run hollow points threw it" and it shoots better than I do all in all great tool don't understand why you would spend 800 and up for one of these when 475 works just fine

Rock Island 1911A1 solid and fun
Bought a Rock Island 1911A1 as my first 1911. I was looking for a good, affordable entry level 1911. Looked at the Tarus and a couple of others. Bought the Rock Island for a couple of different reasons, first being that Impact had a killer deal on it as one of their 12 days of Christmas. The next is because of how it felt in my hands and how solid it felt. The finish is not high end by any means but it looks good. Took It out and shot it and it felt solid and is very accurate, maybe not match grade but then again I am not a completive shooter. It fills the bill for me and I would recommend this gun for anyone on a budget looking to by a 1911.

How do I start the return process?
- Log in to your www.impactguns.com account and locate and click on the "Request Return" link.
- An Impact Guns agent will review your request for a return and respond within two business days.
- All returns are subject to inspection and approval prior to refund being issued.
- All products need to be in new and original manufacturer condition.
- As an alternate method, you can send an email to sales@impactguns.com. Please be sure to include your original order number and relevant contact information.
When will I get my credit or return?
- Most returns are fully refunded in 3-5 days after we receive and process the return. It may take longer for the credit to appear in your account depending on your bank. Most items that are in stock ship within 3-5 days after receipt of your returned item but may take longer depending on availability.
- Returns must be charged back to the original credit card used in the purchase. If this is not possible, we will refund you via check.
What about damaged/incorrect items?
- If you received a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, Impact Guns will ship you a replacement of the exact item upon receipt of the damaged or defective item. Impact Guns will send you a return shipping label for the return.
What about return shipping costs?
- If an Impact Guns error causes the need to return an item or we are replacing a returned defective or incorrect item, then we will pay the associated shipping costs.
- Otherwise, the customer is responsible for any return shipping costs. When returning an item, please add package tracking and adequate insurance.
