Hornady 470 NITRO 500 DGX, 20rd/Box

The 470 Nitro Express was originally introduced in 1900 and has become one of the most legendary big bore cartridges of all time. The growing success of Hornady Dangerous Game Series ammunition now includes this classic cartridge. Loads will feature 500 grain DGX (Dangerous Game eXpanding) and DGS (Dangerous Game Solid) bullets. The DGX has a very heavy copper clad steel jacket and high antimony lead core that will expand to deliver maximum shock with deep penetration. The DGS also features a copper clad steel jacket and high antimony lead core and is designed with penetration in mind. Both are loaded to original ballistics and are safe for use, and will regulate in double rifles.

DGX™ (Dangerous Game eXpanding) bullet expands up to 1.25 times the original diameter, and its tough alloy core resists deformation at all velocities.
