High Value Rear Sight, December 22, 2010

Overall, this sight is great. Most flip up rear sights will go for $100 or more. Why pay that much? This sight is durable. The finish is great. When I flip it up, it locks in place. However, it has a very slight wobble if I move it forward and back but that is only if I am touching it. It is not an issue. Windage knob has very positive clicks. This is a high value product and I would buy it again if I needed to.

This is a great BUIS and has served me well. I love how well made it is (clean machining and well finished) and how the phosphate coating has never given me problems with discoloration or rusting going to Iraq and back to Texas twice. The pin locking it in the up position is great and very sturdy, won't let the sight go down without positive engagement of the locking pin. I also really like that it has two aperatures for day/night engagement much like the A2 sights that many are familiar with. The only thing that I wish it had was elevation adjustment. it has military-type windage but no elevation adjustment (not an issue if not using for long range shooting).
