The gun has gone back to the Walther for a third time and they have offered to replace it with a new one. The design has been around since 1931. I can't imagine they haven't got the bugs out by now not with the reputation PP guns have for reliability. I have got to believe my problems were due to bad luck with a particular weapon.
I purchase a new Walther PPK/S 380 2 Tone and after less than 200 rounds have not been able to fire all the rounds in a magazine without a jam, failure to fire, failure to extract, stovepipe or similar problem. I purchased two additional magazines just in case it was the magazine without seeing any difference. After the first 70 rounds or so I sent it back to the factory. It was returned quite quickly with a new slide. I took it to the range the next day and had a new set of problems. My favorite gunsmith took a look at it and felt the new slide and frame were 'off'. It went back to the factory. This time it too much longer before the gun was returned. I opened the box expecting to find a piece of paper with an explanation of what had been done. The only piece of paper in the box said, '1 Mag' and nothing more. I took the gun to the range and put about 90 rounds through it. This time at the range I was again not able to fire all the rounds in a magazine without a jam, failure to fire, failure to extract, stovepipe or similar problem.
