Weatherby Mark V Rifles

| In 1957, Roy Weatherby changed the face of American firearms with the introduction of the Mark V® bolt action. Three rings of steel surrounding the casehead. Fluted bolt with three gas ports. Nine locking lugs and a short 54-degree bolt lift. The Mark V was billed as the world’s strongest action and the ideal complement to his ultra velocity Magnum Ammunition. For those who wanted the ultimate in speed and power, the Weatherby system had no equal. It remains so today.

Two categories of Mark V rifles:
MAGNUM and STANDARD. The difference is in the size of the action. Virtually identical to the Mark V MAGNUM action, our STANDARD cartridge version is dimensionally smaller overall—shorter, narrower, lighter—and designed to accommodate up to .30-06 length cartridges, including the .240 Weatherby Magnum. |
