1. Check that the ammunition being loaded is the same caliber as that written on the guns barrel.
2. Check that the chambers are not excessively fouled.
Problem:
Failure to fire.
Solution:
1. If the hammer falls and the primer is dented, check for defective ammunition (i.e., water or oil contamination).
2. If the hammer does not fall, contact Benelli USAs customer service department. Click here for instructions on returning your firearm for repair.
3. The base pin (the pin the cylinder rotates around) has two grooves in front that the base pin retaining screw can seat into. The screw must be seated in the rear groove for the gun to fire. If the screw is seated in the front groove of the base pin, the gun will not fire. When the retainer is set in the front groove of the base pin, the rear of the base pin contacts the hammer. This is designed to prevent it from striking the primer. For further assistance, consult your owners manual.
