'SR' Rail Mount scopes are recommended for all current calibers, including the heaviest magnum and long range sporting cartridges. Called the 'SR' (for Swarovski Rail), the new scope and mounting rail is lighter in weight and much stronger than conventional 1” or 30mm scopes using typical steel rings.
The ‘SR’ rail is an integral extension of the one piece tube, machined from a solid billet of hardened aluminum alloy. This rail system provides additional reinforcement to the scope tube, and prevents rube compression or twist caused by misaligned or warped ring and base systems. These problems can adversely affect accuracy and dependability. It is IMPOSSIBLE for the scope to shift position under recoil! This is hard to prevent even with the very best ring/base systems in use today.
The ‘SR’ scopes are mounted using a variety of readily available Weaver style or Ruger Integral base systems, with interlocking steel fixtures (from Swarovski Optik) that requires no drilling, machining or special fitting in the mounting process. The scope can be easily dismounted or remounted at any time, leaving no marks or scratches, and the scope is ALWAYS vertical and perpendicular to the receiver, also improving accuracy.
