To install it, you don't have to modify your handgun or do any machine work. All you have to do is remove the factory barrel nut with the factory supplied wrench and then replace it with this adapter which will give you the 1/2x28 male thread in the front of the gun. A machined thread protector with a nicely knurled OD is also included in the price so that when your suppressor is not installed, you won't run the risk of damaging the threads.
