The Target Models qualify as the standards of the line, available withheavy profile match grade barrels of either chrome lined chrome molysteel or polished 416 Stainless Steel. Button rifled to stabilize awide range of popular bullet weights. A Birdcage Flash suppressor isfitted, but other optional muzzle treatments are available. The A2 typerifle's Upper receiver features the fixed carrying handle design of thestandard military rifle with an integral rear sight. The A3 type uses aflat top upper receiver incorporating a Picatinny rail which allows easyattachment of accessory scopes, sights and optic devices. With the A3type rifle, a removable carry handle is included, and the dual aperturerear sight in that handle has 1/2 minute of adjustment gradations inboth elevation and windage. The Upper and Lower Receivers are precision machined from forgings of7075T6 Aircraft Aluminum for maximum strength. The Upper Receiver in-cludes a forward assist device and an integral cartridge case deflector.The Lower Receiver controls include bolt catch assembly; magazinerelease button, and safety selector with indicator markings on both leftand right sides. The ribbed front handguards - molded of polymerthermoset composite - offer increased control and heat dissipation. Thepistol grip and buttstock are also molded of thermoset composite, andthe buttstock features a storage compartment for small parts or cleaninggear. The Bushmaster Target Rifle is shipped complete with 30 roundmagazine, safety and operational manual, and carrying sling in alockable hard case.
