I purchased my Stevens model 350 on sale just before the last deer hunting season. It was on sale for $199.99. The first time I fired it, I thought I had the safety on. The trigger pull is brutal. My neighbor had the same thoughts when he fired it the first time. Once I got accustomed to the trigger pull, I found it to be accurate and 100% reliable. My neighbor and I fired 25 rounds of Federal rifled slugs without any problems. The bottom load/ejection is a definite plus. The action is somewhat stiff but I expect it to free up with use. The ghost ring sight works well and blowing up gallon milk jugs filled with water at 50 yards proved to be great fun. Its compactness and wide open choke make it a good candidate for a home defense weapon. I know there are some shooters that like to compare low priced guns with the high buck stuff and then bitch about fit, finish, etc. This is a good looking gun. I rated this gun as "That's Good Stuff" Because it has the qualities that count at a great price. As a final note, It put venison in the freezer on opening morning.
