Is The xd 9mm a scam?,
November 16, 2010
The Springfield XD has been referred to as the glock killer and is hailed to be superior in all sorts. Is is a balanced gun with a natural angle of fire? Is it a gun with smooth trigger pull and multiple, but not obtrusive safety features? Is the Springfield a gun that can fire 1000's of rounds in all combat condition and not jam or fail? The answer to all of these questions is yes! I own This one, an OD green one, and as many more that I can get and never had a failure or jam, even with cheap ammo. It does nothing but run and shoots straight right out of the box. I bought this due to a fellow competitor had it when it first cam out and let me fire. I tried the glock and like it, I tried th smith and wesson pre m&P and like it, but when I tried the XD I loved everything about it. The Disassembly was far easier than the Glock. The striker status and the loaded chamber indicator was a major plus. The trigger was smooth but I could do without the USA double trigger system. The ammo capacity was amazing. The price was a no brain-er. I got a gun, 2 hi cap mags, double mag holder, and loader for next to nothing. The gun has met all my needs and I look forward to gettin an XDM!

Well Balanced, Perfect Shooting, and Reliable,
November 12, 2010
While looking for a Polymer/Metal 9mm with high capacity, and Reliable functionality, i tried multiple brands. Personally i found the Springfield XD to have the best feel and functionality. I previously owned a S&W Sigma and i found it to be too front heavy which got worse as you fired. At a firing range i went to rent a Glock to try out, and as the guy behind the counter checked to make sure it was clear he released the slide and the whole slide assembly flew off the front of the gun and onto the floor. Im not saying this is typical of Glock, but it turned me off the brand instanly. The Springfield XD9 has a very balanced feel no matter how many rounds you fire, and i have had very little trouble with jams. The ones i did have were from cheap ammo and only after the action was extremely dirty. I have had only 2 complaints with this gun. the first is the plastic used is very slippery when your hands are sweaty. This is something i found on all the pistols with plastic handles but it is a complaint. I remedied this with a Hogue slip-on grip which works wonderfully. The second was the size of the grip, which was fixed with the XD-M models. Overal this is the best 9mm handgun ive owned and i would definitely but another.
