Springfield XD 40, 5 inch, Black, 2006 package, 12rd Mag

I had heard really good things about this pistol but when I shot it I was let down. I thought with the 5 inch barrel it would be a tack driver. Not so. I was disappointed to say the least. Shot groups were all to the left side of target and groups were not close together. I would not say it was my trigger pull due to the fact that I can get much tighter groups in the center of targets with multiple other products and even with much heavier trigger pulls. To each their own, and this one was not for me. It functioned fine, felt good and looks good but did not work out for me. I have heard from multiple people that love this pistol. I tried to drift the rear sight but it would not budge and I did not want to spend $100+ for a tool to do it.

Don't ever remember a jam. Light and solid, it shoots accurately out of the box with no sight adjustment needed. Hard to conceal with a 5 inch barrel, not a bad trade-off for the accuracy though. Basic break down and clean up is as easy as ONE-TWO-SIG, very simple. There is the grip safety and I forget it has one because I never even notice it, a very nice feature.

This firearm never ceases to amaze me. The grip is a perfect fit and the five inch barrel gives the extra bit of accuracy that I strive for. Definitely worth the five hundred dollars. I'm not a huge fan of glocks although they are great guns, the xd is my choice in any given situation.
