Question on the rifle,
December 05, 2012
It looks perfect, and judging by the reviews, it is. However, though I plan on buying it, I first must ask, the magazine isn't fixed right? I could later buy a higher capacity and use it instead right?

The Springfield M1A is the best semi 308 on the market. Reliable, accurate, made in the U.S.A..The only choice if you want the best.

heavy and accurate,

I have put about 500+ rounds through this wonderful piece of equipment and it still manages to stay accurate. I haven't adjusted the iron sights since the first 9 rounds. It's balanced, accurate, and can be highly modified. I still like the military version, but this is just as good!

Pure excellence,

This is my most favorite firearm in my collection. My only regret is not buying the 18 inch barrel scout version of the M-1A. I have put close to a 1000 rounds through the rifle. It is very accurate and I have never had a jam with military or factory magazines. Buy the twenty round magazines for it if you live in a state that honors the 2nd Amendment.
I have a scope mounted on it with iron sights underneath.

M1A Standard Rifle,
December 13, 2011
I just bought one of these rifles two weeks ago. This is the first one I have owned. Why did I wait so long? What a piece of great work! I have been shooting for fifty years and this is by far one of the most well-built, balanced and effective rifles I could have bought.
