The new Springfield TRP-PRO MODEL pistol meets all requirements and specifications of the FBI contract for their SWAT Hostage Rescue Team (H.R.T.).

Awesome gun, July 25, 2011

Yes, the gun is expensive. It's a high end 1911, just like a lot of other 1911's in this price range. This has all the bells and whistles you would expect from a very quality 1911.. I own this one as well as the Springfield operator "loaded" model". I am a little partial to my operator because I like the looks and the black slide with OD green frame and it also has tritium sites, but other than that they both shoot identical. And let me tell you, shoot they do. Accurate right out of the box, I was getting great groups at 25 ft.

Great gun , fit and finish better than a lot of guns in this price range, very accurate. Good all around preformer. As for the previous review you get what you pay for, the gun he's taking about wont have a fit.and finish even close to the trp, nor will it shoot anything like the trp. And im sure the mims content is much higher in a cheap gun, 2000 for a life investment , a gun that can save your life, be fun to shoot, and stunning to look at is worth every penny, I will be giving this gun to my children and hope it gets passed down
