It just feels right,
February 24, 2012
I have had one for a while now and have put a lot of rounds through it. Some say it's heavy, but it has a good, real feel to me. I like the weight. It's a good middle of the back gun. Now on the down side. The ejector will need replaced every thousand rounds or so. It will let you know. It's not an expensive part that takes about two minutes to change. I just change it once a year now and have no problems.

Good, Basic 1911 for CC,
September 21, 2011
The mil-spec version of these don't come with an ambi safety, anything more than basic iron sights, beaver tail grip safety, upgraded trigger, or aluminum frame. All that said, this is still a great gun for CC, if a little heavy, and a great gun for the money. However, if you can pony up the extra cash for the upgraded SA 1911, I would strongly recommend it.

1911 3 inch,
June 19, 2011
I have had a Springfield Micro 3 inch for years. Took my CCW with it. Combine Springfield with 1911 and you can't go wrong. Can only remember 1 malfunction, a stove pipe with Winchester white box ammo. My only complaint would be the weight of the gun, at nearly 2 lbs.,but hey, it is AMERICAN made heavy metal.
