Great handgun,
January 28, 2013
Bought about two years ago for about $300. Came with 2 16-round mags and the case. Its a great gun and I've fired over 1,000 rounds of only Russian Tula Ammo. It's the only ammo I've shot from it and it has had no problems and it is easy to take apart once you get the hang of it. $40 a mag is pretty expensive but it's not like you have to buy more!

Affordable, Reliable, A Bargain!,
November 29, 2012
The Sigmas always caught a hard time for their heavier than average DAO trigger. I bought one years ago as a home defense pistol and I was horribly inaccurate with it. I replaced the sear spring and cleaned up the trigger with a dremel. I've gotten much better with the trigger job. Do yourself a favor and put an inexpensive laser on this thing. Zero in the laser, and this thing becomes a tack driver. I'm not crazy about the fixed sights, but the laser more than compensates. Added a Hogue grip and I've got a heck of a shooter, with 4 mags, laser and grip for less than $300. You just can't beat that with any 9mm. This is a highly under appreciated hand gun.

Love my sw9ve,
June 12, 2012
I bought my sw9ve a few months ago,I've read a lot of reviews all over the internet and the main issue I always hear is "the trigger is gritty and hard to pull",It's funny,I never had those problems from the git go,my hands are what I would describe as midsize,of average strength and I have no problem with the trigger,my wife is 60 years old and she has no problems with it either.Mine is as accurate as other more expensive pistols I have owned,if not more so.It is simple to keep clean, not that I have to clean it that much.I've never had a FT feed or fire.I will admit it doesn't look as fancy as some higher priced pistols but it doesn't look like a high point either.I seriously doubt a criminal would care if the pistol he got shot with was pretty.I notice alot of people like to compare it to the glock but I have never seen what all of the fuss is about concerning the glock.I hear a lot of guys throwing around the term "double tap" like they shoot people on a regular basis.A lot of guys will say "well i'm ex military"or "former cop" like that would make you an authority on weapons,a lot of guys ride a desk in both jobs, and most ex cops and ex military have never shot anything but a paper target or a pine tree.Considering the service I've gotten out of this weapon,I really don't see why anyone would pay twice as much for what amounts to the same pistol and I've owned several pricey guns. All in All,I am very pleased with this pistol and I am considering buying another one so my wife has her own.A gun is just another tool and if it's a good one,it's a good one.

All Smiles,
April 30, 2012
As an absolute beginner, I purchased this weapon armed only with a few hours of internet research and the help of an extremely nice group of fellows at the gun shop. I purchased it for several reasons. 1)Made in the USA by the company that my father-in-law used to do machine work for. 2)price 3)It has a slot for flashlight/laser attachment should I ever need it for a zombie apocolypse or similar.
I took it to an indoor range to break it in with the 50rounds I got with the gun at the shop. About an hour and a half later I was standing in a pile of 200 spent casings and had a really big grin on my face.
For a newbie like me, this was the perfect weapon to begin with. It was easy to use, easy to clean, very easy to become comfortable with despite my small hands, and all around solid for me. I'm sure it's not the best 9mm on the market today, but in comparrison to imports and an mostly plastic guns, I couldn't have been happier with this weapon. So, from a rookie aspect, if you've never purchased a 9mm before, or you want to get one for someone who has never owned one before, this would be perfect in my opinion.

personal experience,

Let's not just talk about how it feels in hand, accuracy, easy dis/reassemble, high capacity mags, and so on... But, just think about how 275 dollars can buy you a gun that never fail you while firing

S&W 9VE,
January 03, 2012
Fits hand naturally as intended, GREAT SWELL DESIGN S&W! Capacity is nice, bought @ $279 when offered $50 rebate or two mags (average $40/ea so even better deal!), took the mags = happy, dropped trigger to around 7# easy enough, drop is crisp, staging slack easy to uptake quickly, just a nice, surprisingly solid, easy to maintain/breakdown pistol, can't beat the price, seen as low as $229 recently (MT.), thinking about .40 also, sad there's little aftermarket items and proprietary rail necessitates adapter to incorporate what is standard fitment as of date, works well with underhand to clear home/urban, is pretty accurate and seems to be working for A LOT of local and global issued forces, USB Patrol uses. S&W hit a triple at least on that aspect of sales, though U.S.civilian market wants some goodies so please S&W - how bout a shallow incorporated rail? Have lower rail adapter + LASERLYTE V3, works well enough around the house, etc. Tad bulky for me though is still pretty slim but some weight COULD be sheared off here and there but for what it is it works out just fine, wear with kydex belt or hip holster usually and melds fine with correct torque setting, pretty good though in my opinion for a daily tool, occasionally it slips itself into my operator position, usually carry BDM's/BDA's and I hardly notice the difference of poly compared to steel weight, pistol is balanced and ergonomic though just ever so light in the heel, just complaining now. It IS a pretty good pistol built on a pretty good platform (I have 1/2 rail version)that so far has not malfunctioned in any way and has digested every brand of ammo I have fed it. A little tweaking and polishing and this pistol has the ability to tack drive. Lost count at +14k rounds on original barrel and fire control and everything loosened up tightly and has held nice tolerances over it's surely abused life and keeps on ticking though I've encountered some slide rattle that so far has not impacted accuracy as far as I have observed. Not for everybody for sure, but pick it up and hold it and go from there. Left thumb slide release is just a tad thin and I have in the middle sized hands, reverse mag release is nice option, trigger guard = weird, lol, good gun though. Cheap enough to rag on and buy another and mags need to be cheaper, like around $27 or so, just MHO.

Perfect low key handgun,
May 23, 2011
The Sigma SW9VE is the perfect low key handgun for G'S... such as myself. If you don't like side holsters showing off your bussiness, well the SW9VE is the perfect size. The 16rd's plus 1 makes it a good defense firearm,''but hay, let's be real... it makes you feel like an assassin.''I would have giving it a perfect five, but if you have to dish out 40 bucks for extra magazine, I suggest you hit whatever your'e shooting at with those 16 plus 1, the first go around.OH Yeah, not a knock on the sigma, but taking the gun apart with that small a-- level isn't simple!.

A high price doesn't make a pistol better.,
May 06, 2011
I've had the SW9VE for about 3 months now. Shot through well over 600 rounds. Advantage of living in the country get to shoot when I want. Apart from a few failure to load issues with 1 box of discount ammo the pistol has preformed flawlessly. I did have to do some work on the trigger because I'll be the first to admit that originally it was awful. However that is just my opinion. I'm sure some shooters like a robust trigger pull. It was very simple. Just removed 1 spring ( where they were doubled) and replaced the pigtail spring with one about 50% less stiff. There are those that say it's ok to just remove the pigtail and forget about it. That just didn't sit to well with me so replacing it was in order. Anyway the difference is night and day. What once was gritty and stiff is now smooth and clean. It really is like a different gun. I could never double tap with any accuracy on the old trigger. Now I can triple and keep em all on the paper. Thats the only reason I didn't give it a 5. Although it's definitely a 5 now. Another little tip is to let your mags sit for 3 or 4 days with 15 in. After that you should be able to get #16 in without to much of a problem.
