Nice job smith&wesson.22 years with corrections and CERT,I have lots of firetime on the range and must say the 22A is for the price a real performer.I almost bought the ruger.The deal braker was the brakedown on this model and What a pain.The Smith Wesson,push the release and good to go.The only complaint is the brakedown release is hard to operate but with time will work in.The 22A does not offer the upgrades like Ruger but besides the option of changing the grip I dont feel it really needs anything.Has a great trigger and rail system.A upgrade on the rear sight would be a nice option.All in all this one is a real performer and would purchase again.

Bought mine about 2 months ago. Took it to the range and ran a brick of el cheap-o winchester 555 through. Flawless. I managed to get it dialed in. (Now i have to zero the red dot that I slapped onto it.) The rail on top is a very cool feature. Not a bad trigger as well. (especially for the budget price.) The only drawback as compared to the Ruger pistols; is the lack of aftermarket upgrades availiable. No custom triggers, barels---nothing. Blacked out front sight post as well. :( For the price point; this .22 is awesome!
