The SIG SAUER P226- the pistol that set the standard by which all other combat handguns are measured. Worth an extra day at work. I think so., March 11, 2012

Excellence is tough to accomplish on the cheap. This gun is not for everyone at 9+ Benjamins, but shoot it side by side with some others and it stands out of the crowd. The Navy Seals might be wrong, ...nah.

Best Firearm I own, December 05, 2010

My P226 has been 100% reliable after thousands of rounds. The ergonomics are excellent, the reliability is excellent, the build quality is excellent, the night sights are bright, and the takedown is very easy. There are cheaper guns, but this is a quality made firearm that will probably outlast its user. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.
