As I've gotten older I wanted a small game rifle that's not so heavy, but with good accuracy. I've used a couple from friends but not what I was looking for. I also wanted to find something for my young grandson. I did a little research and decided to try the Savage 64F.
I first took it to the shooting range to get a feel for it...this would be the place to decide.
Boy, was I pleasantly supprise. This rifle is nice and lite (I though it would be a lot of recoil, even with a 22LR) and with very little recoil and extremely accurate.
If you are looking for a small game rifle that's very accurate, the Savage 64F is your gun. It sports a 10-round ammo clip that's easy to pop in and pop out. The only negative is, you'll have to mount your own shoulder strap brackets...if you want one.
