WOW when did Savage get this good?,
February 23, 2013
I first bought one of these in 223 mainly because they make a left hand version. After mounting a Burris XTR 4-16 in it I took it to the range and started shooting WOW. Way more accurate than any Remington 700 I have ever owned. I liked the 223 so much I bought the same rifle in 308. Just like the 223 the 308 shoots .5" MOA or less on hand loads and .75ish or less on factory Federal match ammo. Recoil is basically 22LR like on the 223 and maybe like a 243 on the 308 with the muzzle brake. The trigger is fantastic also. Sign me as a new Savage Fan !!

One to consider,
September 20, 2012
I have had several guns and this isn't the nicest looking gun, but as for functinality it is a great rifle with handloads was getting sub .25 moa groups just amazing the action works great. If you in the market for a (target/hunting) its a bit heavy to pack around when you get a bipod and scope on it. But do consider its a presicion rifle it's about consistant accurancy instead of how much power and how fast you will shoot it.

love this rifle,
June 15, 2011
i bought the savage 10 fcp-k le about a year and a half ago, and the bolt is smoother to operate than the 700sps the recoil pad feels like shooting a 204cal soft and smooth. trigger breaks great, except the sear block ( if trigger is not held correctly it can release the firing pin(in to the sear block) requiring the bolt to be cycled up (only to cock not to remove the shell) but after getting used to that its an awsome rifle. better than my custom 700ps without the price of gunsmithing.

Clover leaf group out of the box,
May 26, 2011
With a $15 box of Federal ammo, after a few sight-in rounds for the Vortex scope, and with Harris bipods, this rifle punched a nice 3-leaf clover group at a hundred yards. It's a sheer joy to shoot.
The factory recoil pad is thick and soft, but a bit spongey, which casts doubt on its life expectancy. Even so, five stars easily.
