My First Ruger,
January 05, 2013
I have a Smith Wesson 38. My wife didn't like the weight. She bought this gun a few weeks ago. She loves the weight. It does shoot good and is accurate. I'm impressed with the smooth trigger pull and hammerless feature. I never thought I would like a hammerless but now my mind is changed. It would be so easy to shoot thru your pocket or purse without worry of hammer hang. Ruger hit a home run on this gun.

LCR 357 handling,
December 04, 2012
I compared a bunch of 38 and 357 pocket pistols. I have an S&W model 37 airweight I gave to my wife and wanted one for myself. I settled on the Ruger LCR 357 as it is the same size as the 38 and a couple of oz. heavier for better control of the weapon. With 38 specials it was great and very accurate even with the short barrel. Then I put in some 357s I had loaded and fired twice before I thought I had broken my hand - I have very small hands for a guy. Highly advise the 357 LCR fired with 38 specials....its great.

WIFE loves it,
July 13, 2012
I have a Ruger SP101, my wife shot it a few times and didn't like the weight or kick back. So she went on line and found the S&W 640 or is it a 642 hammer less. Ordered it came in to our local store. It wasn't "pink" so she sent it back. The clerk in the store showed her a Ruger LCR. She purchased it. We go to the range once or twice a month. Still learning where the bulls eye is. She loves the handling and size. We are avid RVers. It conceals very nicely in her purse. Great CCW for self protection.

I like it, but not perfect,
March 06, 2012
I have the .38 version and it is very nice in all respects.
The only issue I have is that the ejector rod doesn't extend quite far enough to actually eject all the spent casings. No matter the angle of the gun, you almost always have to shake the gun or use your fingers.
I wonder if they'll release a fix?

Ruger LCR,
September 11, 2011
Really nice gun. I've carried who knows how many other guns in just about every place on my body, but I think I'm through looking. I looked at all of the night sight options before settling on the Meprolight front sight, and the finished product looks and shoots just right. Kudos to Ruger!

Big Hands Little Thunder,
July 25, 2011
I bought the LCR for carry when on my bicycle in the state park in my belly bag. Quick aquisition of target and it fits perfectly in my large size hands. must get practice to improve your shot.
Very happy with mine. May now get the 357Mag

Almost perfect,
January 18, 2011
Purchased this gun for use as a concealed carry weapon, and to that effect, it is amazing. Very concealable, and very easy to carry/use. Grips are very comfortable and the gun is a perfect fit for my hand. Word to the wise though, stick with the regular .38 rounds. The +P rounds add an uncomfortable kick with regard to recoil.

Very, very cool,
December 20, 2010
My experience with this revolver is limited to a 50 round exercise with a rental, but I confirmed that the gun did indeed live up to the hype.
Light weight, unusual looks, unique design, and a very smooth trigger are all there. However, I have to admit that the recoil from even standard pressure .38's was unpleasant to my small hands. This is for the folks who can handle the featherweight snubbies, or who carry often but shoot little. But I can't deny the cool factor.

Ruger LCR,
December 02, 2010
Great light-weight conceal/carry pistol! I bought this for my wife to carry when she got her CCW permit. It works well for her small hands especially with that nice hogue grip. The only minor drawback I have with this gun is also a benefit. Its weight. With the 38sp round I feel it moves a little too much to be able to keep or get back on target. Maybe I will get better with some more practice, but that just means more fun shooting.

A small but powerful pocket gun.,
November 15, 2010
The Ruger LCR is an excellent concealed carry choice for men or women. It's small enough to carry in either a pocket or a purse, and by virtue of its polymer frame, it is light enough that it doesn't become a chore to lug it around all day. It is built tough enough to handle any 38 Special +P defense round, yet remain controllable. Its trigger is easy to pull through, being designed for those of diminutive stature, while retaining the built in safeties of a DAO revolver. It is a simple and reliable tool for self defense at an affordable price with a lifetime warranty. I bought one for my wife because it can be relied upon. It has helped to give me peace of mind when she is away from home.

Great gun, one problem.,
November 15, 2010
I adore this gun. The super light weight, the smooth and even trigger pull and the ease of carry make this gun a fantastic buy. There is only one problem that I have had with this weapon and that is if you have big hands like I do, you'll find that your pinky finger has nowhere to go but under the butt and when firing +P rounds, it tends to feel like it is going to come out of your hand. Otherwise, the concealed carry aspect of this weapon is phenomenal. You can tote it around in your pocket and not even know it's there. It's perfect for the ladies too, to carry in a purse and not have an issue with weight. I give the Ruger LCR a 9.5 out of 10. Hopefully a new extended grip will become available soon with a spot for the pinky.
