Important Notice From ROCK RIVER ARMS: Due to increased demand in the firearms industry for bolt carrier groups and increased process time required to chrome carriers and their components, these parts have become extremely difficult to provide in a timeley manner. In an effort to satisfy our customers and get them their products as quickly as possible, we have discontinued chrome carrier groups as a standard component in our Operator 2 Rifle Specials and substituted the standard phosphated bolt carrier. Outstanding Rifle, January 30, 2012

I bought this rifle about 4 months ago from Impact and I love it. The customer service was great and the shipping was very fast. I have put a few hundred rounds through it without a single failure in both 5.56 and .223. The trigger is crisp and the folding front sight is perfect. With the dominator mount the iron sights co-witness perfectly with my Eotech 512. The adjustable CAR stock is great and even has room for battery storage when you slide the buttstock cover down. This rifle is incredibly accurate. The groups I was getting at 100 yards standing were very impressive. The only thing I can say that would need improvement is the weight of the halfquad as it is a hunk of steel. The one other thing is to be careful when picking QD sling swivels for the stock as the one I got on my Pig sling pops out very easily (I will have to try and find another way to mount it). Other than those two items this rifle is pretty flawless in my opinion. An incredible value for what you get. You will not be disappointed.

I bought this rifle in September from Impact. Got lucky and went in the shop right after receiving a new shipment. It is my first AR so I don't have much to compare it to but I did a lot of online research online before buying it. In short, I love my RR AR. I couldn't find a nicer AR at this price point, the little extras like the 2 stage trigger, the butt stock with cheek extenstion, the flip down front site, the muzzle break that makes shooting this thing with little recoil sooo much fun. The only thing I would change is this rifle does not have a chrome lined barrel, however RR makes those too, you just pay more. And if I ever shoot my AR so much that I wear my barrel out (likely to never happen) I will buy a new chrome lined barrel. Warning, this rifle is LOUD lol. You shoot it next to your shooting friend and they WILL notice. The muzzle break is so awesome at minimizing recoil but as a side-effect, it sends out a heck of a shockwave and fearsome wall of sound. But I love it, thats what ear protection is for. Highly recommend buying this or similar AR-15's. They took good care of me at Impact.
