I got an LTR .308 because a friend has one and it shot well. I did the long break in. 1 round clean and cool, I did that for 20 rd. Then shoot and cool down clean every 3 rd for another 20. It never shot better than 4 inch with 168 gr Federal GMM. I had both my friends shoot it too. No hope. I had a gun smith look at it and the "no go gauge" chambered. I sent the gun to Remington and they sent it back and said it was fine. I tried to re shoot it and is was still a bad shooter. I sent it back and they sent me back a used gun, not mine. I spent days on the phone telling them it was not my gun and was a used gun. It even had a scope mount on it. Again not mine. I sent it back. They told me they had no LTR to ship to me. ( really Remington could not get their hands on an LTR) They sent me an SPS AAC .308. It had an 8 lb trigger. I sent it back. After a ton of calls and complaints. They asked me what I wanted. I said, a gun that will shoot sub 1 m.o.a. with a trigger less than 4 lb. I was told by the Rep that their non custom guns are only guaranteed for 1.5 m.o.a. All this took about 8 month to happen. I gave up. Remington will not stand behind their guns. Too Bad because more aftermarket stuff is available for them than anybody else.
