Remington 1911 R1 45ACP Stainless steel 5" Barrel

I bought this gun two weeks ago. I have previously owned two other handguns. 1. Ruger P95 9mm, 2. Zastava M88A 9mm. I had to send the Ruger back to the factory twice as it was jaming and dropping the spent shells down my shirt, and they can burn the skin. Since then it performs flawlessly no matter what brand shells used. I presently have my M88A at a gunsmith for jaming and failure to load properly, many different brands of shells. Now, the first time I shot my new Remington, it performed flawlessly from the very first shot. After 200 rounds, in two different sessions, using mostly FMJ's and about 20 or so hydra Shok personal defense rnds, all and I mean all, are centered on target in the size of a softball at 21 ft. I have never had that king of marksmanship from either of the other guns. This Remington 1911 R1S is an amazing gun and I wish I had bought it first as I probably would not have bought another gun. What an amazing gun.

When I looked here Impact did not have the R1S. I bought one else where. I also found many place with a much higher price. This is a nice well made 1911. I personally like the finish better than most stainless. Just fits my eye. I really like the sights. They are a bit larger than most white dot sights which for my old eyes help in seeing the target and getting back on target. The only down side for me is lack of checkering on the front of the grip. Not a big deal though. I like the rest of it. I would buy again.
