It's OK,

This is a good starting gun. It is extremely inexpensive (which is why I bought it) and fairly accurate. I got this for my first deer rifle and I have been relatively pleased with it. I mounted a 4-16x40mm scope on it and can shoot about a 1.5 inch group at 100 yards which in my book it really good. The gun is more accurate than I am. The reason for the 3 stars is that it is REALLY heavy, the quality just isn't as nice as other rifles and you can't mod it as much as others... ie you can't find many triggers or stocks for it. I would recommend spending a little more (if you can) and getting a nicer rifle. If you can't, which is how I was when I bought it, then I would not hesitate to buy one of these.

I have had one of these in 30.06 since 2007.
I topped it with a TASCO WORLD CLASS 5-12X50.
It definitely lives lives up to it's reputation as a great all around gun.
Probably the best CHRISTMAS present I have gotten in a while.

Austin review of ATR mossberg 100 30-60 rifle,
December 20, 2010
This gun is an around good starter gun for people looking to buy the first rifle . The gun is little an fires good an can easy have a scope mount to it . The gun is smooth and easy to bolt for most people adult and children. The gun is also less expenses than some of its courter parts . This gun can also be modifed easly for long shot just by changing out scopes an adding a byipode . I like this gun becasue it gives you flexiblet to kill big game animals as well as small game. This gun is a great all around gun that ever hunter should have in is gun safe.
