Marlin Golden 39A, April 18, 2013
My 92 year old Dad finally parted with his Marlin Golden 39A (1965)this week. Come to find out he traded an under/over for it...even swap! He has never shot it. Came with original Marlin Scope and a Weaver Scope and the original gunstrap. Also turned over about 300 rounds of 22 longs. I can't wait to shoot it and from everything I read it's an awesome, well loved, hard to find item. Only problem is trying to locate a Cartridge Cutoff #302189 which is missing in rifle. Rifle is in excellent shape. Looks like it was never shot. Clean as a whistle!

OLD FAVORITE, March 21, 2013
I bought my 39A at a hardware store in Texas way back in 1956. Paid 55 dollars for it brand new. Big bucks for a E-4 in the Air Force back then. Wouldn't trade it for a new one now. Would buy a new one, but keep my old friend.

Marlin Model Golden 39A, November 03, 2011
I bought this gun 11/21/09 for my birthday,I havn't shot it yet,may shoot it someday. I have a Marlin Model 60 I target shoot with. My opinion, Marlin is one of the best rifles made. I got to talk my friend Joe (Josie Wells) in Easley,S.C.into purchasing a 39A. You got to get one Joe L******

Marlin golden 39A, June 30, 2011
I have owned Marlin 39A since 1981. Love this gun would get rid of every gun I own before I would part with this one. Man came in my office one day and said he had a Marlin 39A he didn't need and asked if I wanted to buy it and I jumped on it. My business partner offered him $100 and i countered with $225 and Thats what I paid for it. My 1981 model has a scope and this one does not. I like shooting it better without scope. It is a 1966 model and looks better than my 1981. But I have carried in the woods alot. Love both guns shoot like dreams.

Worth the wait, May 24, 2011
I waited a long time to get my 39A, but it is worth it. This may be the highest quality classic 22 you can own. And a great shooter, too. Must be the barrel, it really shoots accurate.
