This grip fills the middle ground between the standard AR grip and Magpul's MIAD grip. If your hand fits the standard AR grip well and you are happy with the MOE front strap, no need to spend more on the MIAD. The texture of the grip is quite good and lends to good control of the weapon. The MOE also accepts the MIAD internal plug varieties which is really the selling point, in my opinion. Additionally, it only comes with a blank plug so you aren't paying for the mostly useless 3 round plug that comes with the MIAD.
