Best .45 ACP for the money, period!, October 16, 2015
I have two of these and they are superb handguns. I bought one for my daughter about ten years ago and another for myself about five years ago. I hate to knock on a fellow shooter but Dave from Maine is doing something wrong. These guns are super dependable and accurate. I also have two Springfield Armory (Trophy Match and Mil-Spec models)pistols and the Kimber Stainless Target II shoots just as good as the Trophy Match. If you are wanting a reasonable price .45 ACP that is super reliable and accurate look no further.

I have had a Target II for about 5 years & I really like it. I had to break it in & quit limp wristing it; after which it works every time. I have very good custumer service too. My gun is in 10MM cal & I love it. Thanks Kimber.

So Far This Gun Is a Dud, July 18, 2012
After hearing pros and cons, I had to try a Kimber. Selected the Stainless Target II. What a dud. After 20 rounds the windage screw snapped. I could have taken it to a gun shop, but I made Kimber fix it. (Excellent customer service. They even paid for all shipping.) But, after more than 200 rounds, the slide still freezes in the open position. It does this after every three to four magazines. I have to apply solvent to the rails and push it HARD forward, strip and clean it, and repeat the whole operation. The owners manual says you have to shoot 400 to 500 rounds to break it in, but why should I (or you) spend a couple hundred $$$ to make one of their guns work properly? (Complained to Kimber, and they do say I can return it to have a gunsmith "tune it." So, once again, good customer service, but it all seems needless to me.) Stick with Colt!
