One of the most accurate, comfortable and reliable .45ACPs I have ever had he pleasure of owning is my Kimber Gold Match Stainless II. The 8+1 capacity makes it more than adequate to be utilized as one's primary concealed carry weapon and it's weight of 38oz. renders the recoil manageable for even the most diminutive individual. The five inch Stainless steel match grade barrel has a 1:16 left hand twist along with a Stainless steel match grade bushing that aids in the accuracy of this Kimber. The serrations at both front and back of the slide aid tremendously when bringing this Gold Match II into battery not simply due to the number of serrations, but their angle in relation to the slide as well as the natural angle of the full handed grip when a firm purchase is is applied. The match grade trigger is factory set between 4.0-5.0 (appx.pounds) and breaks very crisp actually adding to the feel of a much lighter trigger pull. My experience with the Gold Match and the people at Kimber sold me on the Ultra Carry II as it was our next acquisition and it is everything I expected it would be. The Kimber Line, being entirely manufactured in America keeps Americans working even during our recessed economy. There are some very good handguns made in nations all around the world, I could have spent less money and ended up with some import, but rest assured the savings could sadly become apparent in a lower quality firearm. This particular Kimber is a glowing reminder that the words "Made In America" mean more than simply owning a functional firearm, but the fit and finish, the precision and tolerances with which it is assembled, the absolutely unmistakable feel of superior quality and it's unparalleled accuracy all lead me to this... I will be a proud Kimber owner and customer for many years to come. Kimber has restored the words "Made In America" to their previous illustrious standing, synonymous with, "The Absolute Best, There Is None Better."
