I did lots of research on this versus the MK9 for my CCW permit and it seems like there are quite a few people online that have issues with malfunctions. Maybe they were limp wristing or whatever but there were many unhappy people online. The weight of 14.9 or 16oz with empty magazine was the largest factor in purchasing the PM9. I took a chance and ordered it and I have to say that I could not be happier.
I have gone through the manufacturer recommended break-in period of 200rds and during the break-in shoot I had absolutely no FTF's shorting normally. I wanted to get my PM9 to malfunction just to see what all the bad press was about but it wasn't having any of it. I finally got one FTF shooting it weak hand with two fingers totally limp wristing the shot. My Glocks would have FTF way before this with the amount of limp wristing I was trying.
I am extremely happy with my purchase and have recommended this as a carry gun to anyone that will listen. I carry it using the clip-draw, strong side and barely even know it's there.
