I purchased several 10 round boxes of this. I have a Mossberg 500 pump with a 20 inch barrel. First off, the high brass on these shells enable you to reload this. Second, it's 8 .38 cal BB's flying at 1600 fps. That is amazing from a shotgun. They are 2 3/4" shells so you can carry many rounds.
The first rounds I fired were at a bowling ball 20 yards away. I was astonished that all the bb's hit the target. The wadding hit as well. The size of the ball is about the size of a human head. And at 20 yards is where the bb's spread out to the perfect pattern.
The second thing I did was take an old kevlar vest out and put it on a 2x4 frame with plywood to mimmick a torsoe. I stood ten feet away and put one round center mass. There was a one inch hole through and through. That was awesome!!!
The third thing I did was I had 3 silhouettes at 100 yards away I was sighting my rifle in at. I fired 3 rounds at them. The spread was about 7 feet in diameter. There were hits on all 3 targets that were lethal. I was really impressed at that. So even if all you have is a shotgun. Anything within those reasonable distances would be toast.
