Let's get the only bad thing out of the way, the bullet! The .45 GAP will probably never catch on for any number of reasons but probably most of all because all other gun manufacturers saw this as a chance to hang Glock out to dry by not developing any handguns using that load. The ammo is readily available at large gun shops or on the Web but not at your local Walmart for an affordable price. That being said,it is more expensive to go out shooting with this round. Enough of the negative. Now the pistol review. In a word, I LOVE it! The G39 is the right size for deep conceal and delivers a big enough slug that if you can't get the job done with 8 .45 cal slugs then 17 9mm slugs probably won't do the job either. I did opt for the ammo clip extension since my hands are huge and I got another round to carry. I have sent several rounds down range and can easily get a 3" group at 50' and a good center mass group at 100'. For a deep conceal that is good enough for me. As for reliability, hey, it's a Glock and I must confess I lean more towards the American made Ruger line of hand guns. All things being equal,I will be hoarding .45 GAP ammo and hoping other manufacturers get on board with this caliber and it becomes common. After all, I am an eternal optimist, I bought a G39!
