The new design is a full rail configuration with enough relief to allow cartridge manipulation and spent cartridge ejection. The dovetails on these mounting bases are machined to military specifications. The recoil slots are machined to accept the wide recoil lugs found on sniper-quality rings. Manufactured from 4140 billet steel, they feature a black manganese phosphate mil-spec finish and only weigh 4.2 ounces. They are available either "dead flat" or with 20 MOA of elevation built in.
