The Franchi I-12 is Inertia Driven™ and does not rely on gas valves or pistons. The heart of the inertia system is simplicity itself – a free floating bolt compressing an inertia spring as the gun recoils, creating power that works the action. The specially designed recoil pad of the I-12 soaks up recoil, while the gel cushion inserted into the rear of the trigger guard protects the shooter’s fingers during recoil. With none of the bulky gas cylinders and associated hardware under the fore-end, the Inertia Driven™ I-12 has a slender, low profile fore-end that better fits the shooters hand and makes for faster handling. The I-Series by Franchi is made up of several models of I-12s to fit nearly any kind of hunting. For waterfowl, the I-12 in Max-4 HD™ camo is the obvious choice, while Timber HD™ is designed for turkeys. A black synthetic is a great all round gun and of course a stock and fore-end in traditional walnut will never go out of style.
