I have shot the Browning Sliver Hunter gas operated Browning about 10wk. ends at our local trap range. It is well balanced and has as good a sight picture like the old A/5's. It fits me good.
I wish Browning would put a mid-dot on their shotguns like other manfacturers. It is gas operated and does kick a little more than the old A/5's ie 1902-1998. The Wt.is one ounce less than the old Lt.Wt.A/5's. The gas cylinder gets quite dirty after just shooting 2 boxes of shells ! Still the old Browning A/5 Lt.Wt.Models is a better gun with less recoil. The old BAS A/5's Wt.is 8lb.1oz. What is the point of Browning puttng out a new gas operated Browning shotgun if it doesn't improve on the orginal design ! Perhaps it is just marketing, what a pitty.
