Bersa Thunder 9 Pro HC 17 +1,
April 10, 2013
I can't say enough about the Bersa Pro 9 HC, but as most know, the sights are the only thing I'd recommend changing out. Often times we do on or favorite gun and this is not the exception for those needing higher visibility sights. I will say that there is but one sight that seems to be a cut above the rest, if you don't need those fancy fiber optics, which by the way, you're still dealing with the same sight picture and lends no help. However, the XS Sight System is truly a mans best friend when it comes to faster and more accurate sight acquisition. It simply out preforms every pistol iron sight ten to one and they don't cost an arm and leg!
I know I sound like a commercial, but I'm simply turning you shooters onto a superb system.
Best to you all

This is my 3rd Bersa pistol. I have the Bersa .45 ultra compact and .380 duo-tone, both of which are great pistols as well. Picked this one up at a gun show, comes with two 17-round mags, and was able to get two more 17-round Pro Mags from another vendor. Finally got a chance to take the compact .45 and this full-frame 9mm down to the range, and put 50 rounds thru each one at 10 yards. First few rounds were low and to the left, but still in the 9 ring. I adjusted my sighting, then the rest of the rounds were pretty much center of mass, with the occasional head shots for fun.
This pistol doesn't feel as large as the Beretta 92, which is what I'm used to qualifying with. It feels balanced, fired all 50 Remington ball rounds with no misfeeds, 3-dot sights were great, frame-mounted safety and slide-stop were easy to use, and this pistol has to be one of the easiest to field strip that I've ever come across, even easier than my 380.
For the money, I think you'd be looking long and hard to find a better full-frame high-capacity 9mm than this Bersa. And in my opinion, it can hold its own against the more expensive 9mm pistols out there, which makes it even more of a bargain.

Great handgun. Great price.
I bought this gun for serving as my duty weapon and am greatly pleased with it. My only concern would be for some people is the intial long reach of the trigger. With some use and practice you get adjusted to it and it doesn't present a problem for most, unless you have little hands.
Other than that, this is my fourth Bersa, a solid all metal gun that is accurate, has nice sights and is dependable - like that big safety lever and the 17RD capacity also. Best of all, you can't beat the price.
